GMC-AoG is an Assemblies of God, UK Church based in Bradford. GMC-AoG held its maiden service on 5th January 2013 at Bradford Park Lane Centre. In this service which started at 2:00pm and ended at 4:00pm six families were present. Pastor Ben used the day to thank God for bringing the church to Bradford and spelt out his vision onto the then potential members. He emphasised that the etos of this church will be love and care for members and for people in general. He started the philosophy of the church saying ' people do not care how much you know until they know how much you care'. He also said on this day that, 'this church is NOT going to be just one of 'those churches adding to the numbers'. The church in its early days went through few teething and challenging issues regarding membership, BUT, through all God was faithful and kept adding to our numbers. Six months afterwards, on 30th June, 2013, the church was inaugurated by the General Superintendant of Assemblies of God, Ghana. During the 3-day inauguration events, over 100 people within the Bradford community attended our programmes which included a music festival, and a special anointing service by Pastor Oly.
Taking Territories- Raising Champions for Jesus Christ. We achieve this by:
d. Releasing people into ministry
Ensure that everyone in the church develops and matures to reflect the character of our Master, Jesus Christ (Ephesians 5:1). This is achieved by equipping members with the truth of God's Word.
The Bible is the inspired Word of God through which He has revealed Himself to man (2 Peter 1:20-21 and 2 Timothy 3:16). It is the infallible rule of faith and conduct to guide mankind in all their relations to Him (Psalm 119:11 and John 20:16).
The one true God has revealed Himself as the Eternal One (Deuteronomy 6:4). He exists as the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (Luke 3:22 and Matthew 28:19-20). The Triune God is the creator of the universe (Genesis 1:1, 26 and John 1:1-3). He is also the savior of mankind (John 3:16 and Titus 3:4-6).
In the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance (Acts 2:45, Acts 10:44-46, and Acts 19:6).
Sanctification is attained instantly at conversion by union with Christ in His death and resurrection (1 Corinthians 6:11) and continually by daily yielding oneself to God (Romans 6:11-13).
Divine healing is the privilege of every believer today (Mark 16:18).
In the second coming of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Him, and the rapture of both the resurrected and the living believers at His return, leading to eternal life and the eternal damnation of the unsaved (Revelation 21:8).
